Teak Captain's Armchair
|
No other wood compares to teak when it comes to durability, elegance, stability and low maintenance. The most noteable characteristic of teak is its durability in all weather conditions. It is an extremely dense grained hardwood with a high natural oil content that continually preserves the wood so it can be left outdoors for decades. When untreated teak furniture is used indoors, the wood grain evens in tone, becoming a very rich golden brown color.
Constructed from kiln dried first grade plantation grown teakwood, the Captain Armchair is assembled using the traditional method of mortise and tenon joinery with teakwood dowels. Fittings are marine grade brass or stainless steel.
The Captain Armchair will arrive a honey blonde color and after one or two seasons outdoors it will turn soft, silver gray. And it stays like that, forever, without ever warping, twisting, rotting or splintering. Knot free, beautifully grained, smooth to the touch, pleasing to the eye and quality crafted from the inside out, your armchair will never need replacing. No assembly is required and dimensions are 24"W x 18"D x 33"H. Allow 1-2 weeks for delivery.
